1. These Regulations may be cited as the Agriculture (Student Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 and shall come into operation on the 22nd October 2007.
2. The Agriculture (Student Fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007(3) shall be amended as provided by regulations 3 to 5.
3. For Regulation 1(1) (Citation, commencement and interpretation) substitute:
“(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Agriculture (Student Fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 and shall come into operation on the 29th January 2007.”.
4. Regulation 4 (Fees) shall be amended as provided by paragraphs (1) and (2).
(1) In regulation 4(1) for “£1200” substitute “£1225”.
(2) For regulation 4(2) substitute:
“(2) The Department may charge a person a fee of such amount as it may determine in respect of any course of further education or part-time education undertaken by that person.”.
5. In Regulation 5(2) (Reduced fees for higher education courses) for “£600” substitute “£610”.

These Regulations amend the Agriculture (Student Fees) (Amounts) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007, so as to substitute a new level of fee to be paid by persons undertaking a course of higher education provided by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (Regulations 3 and 4(1)). The Regulations also further clarify provision for the Department to apply fees to courses of further education (Regulation 4(2)), and correct an error (Regulation 1).
