The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development[1] makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 29A of the Drainage (Northern Ireland) Order 1973[2]: It appears to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development that the trusts listed in the Schedule to this Order are trusts to which Article 29A of the 1973 Order applies: In accordance with Article 29A(3) and (4) of the 1973 Order the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has published a notice of intention to dissolve the trusts in the Belfast Gazette and in two newspapers circulating in the area to which the trust relates: The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has considered any objections received in accordance with Article 29A(4) of the 1973 Order and is satisfied that the dissolutions would not subject any person to a significant detriment: Accordingly the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development makes the following Order: Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the Drainage Trusts (Dissolution) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006 and shall come into operation on 31st July 2006. Interpretation 2. In this Order—
Dissolution of drainage trusts
(This note is not part of the Order) This Order dissolves the drainage trusts listed in the Schedule and extinguishes all rights, duties, obligations and liabilities arising under the trusts. The Order also provides for the Department to dispose of any property forming part of the trusts and to put the funds to the Consolidated Fund as appropriations in aid.
