The Department of the Environment makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 13 of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991[1] and Article 67B(5) of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1972[2]. Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the Planning (General Development) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006 and shall come into operation on 10th June 2006. Amendment of the Planning (General Development) Order (Northern Ireland) 1993[3] 2. In paragraph (1) of Article 17 after "Article 67" insert "or 67B". (This note is not part of the Order) This Order amends Article 17 (claims for compensation and purchase notices) of the Planning (General Development) Order (Northern Ireland) 1993. The amendment provides that a claim under Article 67B of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 for compensation for loss due to a temporary stop notice shall be made to the Department in writing and served within 6 months or such longer period as the Department may allow from the date of the decision in respect of which the claim is made.
