ELECTRICITY

Electricity (Applications for Consent) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2002

  Made 28th November 2002 
  Coming into operation 1st January 2003 

The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment[1], in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 39(8) of and paragraph 1(3) of Schedule 8 to the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992[2] and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations-

Citation and commencement
     1. These Regulations may be cited as the Electricity (Applications for Consent) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2002 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2003.

Amendment of the Electricity (Applications for Consent) (Fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1992
    
2.  - (1) The Electricity (Applications for Consent) (Fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1992[3] shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3).

    (2) In Regulation 2(1) (fee for application for consent required for construction etc of generating stations) for "£100" substitute "£350".

    (3) In Regulation 2(2) (fee for application for consent required for overhead lines) for "£20" substitute "£60".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations.)


These Regulations revise upwards the fees which are payable on applications to the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment for its consent under Article 39 of the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 to the construction, extension or operation of a generating station, or under Article 40 of that Order to the installation or keeping installed of an overhead line.
