The Department of the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 13 and 21(2) of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991[1] and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order: Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the Planning Applications (Exemption from Publication) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999 and shall come into operation on 30th August 1999. Exempted applications 2. Article 21(1) of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 (publication of notice of planning applications) shall not apply to any application for planning permission for development where that development -
(b) is not in a conservation area.
Revocation
Class A The enlargement, improvement or alteration of a dwelling house. Class B The provision within the curtilage of a dwelling house of any building or enclosure for a purpose incidental to the enjoyment of the dwelling house or the enlargement, improvement or alteration of such a building or enclosure. (This note is not part of the Order.) Article 2 of and the Schedule to this Order provide that applications for planning permission for development need not be published in the press in accordance with Article 21(1) of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 where that development is -
(b) not in a conservation area.
