STATUTORY RULES OF NORTHERN IRELAND

ROADS

New Aghalane Bridge Order (Northern Ireland) 1997

Made 20th May 1997
Coming into operation 1st July 1997


    WHEREAS the Department of the Environment in accordance with Article 4(1) and (2) of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993[1] proposes by order to provide for the construction, as part of the A509 Belturbet Road, Derrylin, of a bridge over the navigable waters of the Woodford River in the Counties of Fermanagh and Cavan;
    AND WHEREAS the Department has taken into consideration the reasonable requirements of navigation over the waters affected by the order in accordance with Article 4(3) of that Order;
    AND WHEREAS notice has been published and served in compliance with paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 8 to that Order;
    AND WHEREAS no objection has been received;
    NOW THEREFORE the Department, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 4(1) and (2) of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993 and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
    Citation, commencement and interpretation
        1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the New Aghalane Bridge Order (Northern Ireland) 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st July 1997.

        (2)  In this Order "the map" means the drawing numbered G1243 marked "New Aghalane Bridge Order (Northern Ireland) 1997" copies of which have been deposited at the Department's Roads Service offices, Headquarters, Room 231, Clarence Court, 10-18 Adelaide Street, Belfast; Omagh Division, Tyrone and Fermanagh Building, 1 Donaghanie Road, Omagh and Castle Barracks, Wellington Place, Enniskillen; and at the offices of Fermanagh District Council, Town Hall, Enniskillen.
    Construction of bridge
        2.    The Department shall construct the bridge in the position and with the minimum dimensions both specified in the Schedule as part of the A509 Belturbet Road, Derrylin.
