The Disability Discrimination Code of Practice (Goods, Facilities, Services and Premises) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996

Made 2nd December 1996


    The Department of Health and Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 52(8) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995[1] and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
    Citation
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Disability Discrimination Code of Practice (Goods, Facilities, Services and Premises) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996.
    Code of Practice
        2.    The day appointed for the coming into force of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 Code of Practice on the Rights of Access to Goods, Facilities, Services and Premises (ISBN 0337 37109 1), issued by the Department of Health and Social Services under section 51(2)[2] of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 on 2nd December 1996, is 2nd December 1996.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

    This Order appoints 2nd December 1996 as the day for the coming into force of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 Code of Practice on the Rights of Access to Goods, Facilities, Services and Premises, issued by the Department of Health and Social Services on 2nd December 1996. The Code may be obtained from The Stationery Office Bookshop, 16 Arthur Street, Belfast BT1 4GD.
