ROAD TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES Traffic Signs (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996
The Department of the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 27 of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981[1] and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, makes the following regulations:
1. These regulations may be cited as the Traffic Signs (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996 and shall come into operation on 22nd April 1996.
2. The Traffic Signs Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1979[2] shall be amended as follows
" Entry to pedestrian zone restricted. Permitted variants: References to the time of day, the day of the week or the month of the year may be added. "loading by" with the goods vehicle symbol may be varied to "access to off-street premises", "permit holders", "buses", "taxis" or the orange badge symbol shown in diagram 661. The variants may be used in any combination with each other and with "Except for loading". The word "and" shall be inserted before the last variant where more than one is used.618.2"
