PUBLIC HEALTH The Alkali, &c. Works and Clean Air (Metrication) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994
The Department of the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 82(1) of the Pollution Control and Local Government (Northern Ireland) Order 1978[1] and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following regulations:
1. These regulations may be cited as the Alkali, &c. Works and Clean Air (Metrication) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994, and shall come into operation on 4th July 1994.
2. In these regulations
3. The provisions of the Alkali Act specified in Schedule 1 in column 1 shall be amended by substituting for the amounts expressed opposite thereto in column 2 the amounts expressed in the corresponding entry in column 3.
4. The provisions of the Clean Air Order specified in Schedule 2 in column 1 shall be amended by substituting for the amounts expressed opposite thereto in column 2 the amounts expressed in the corresponding entry in column 3.
5. The Alkali, &c. Works (Metrication) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1985[4] are hereby revoked.
