LAND REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION OF DEEDS

The Registration (Land and Deeds) (1992 Order) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 1992

The Department of the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(2) of the Registration (Land and Deeds) (Northern Ireland) Order 1992^[1] and paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 1974^[2] and of every other power enabling it in that behalf. hereby makes the following order:

Citation
    1.    This Order may be cited as the Registration (Land and Deeds) (1992 Order) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 1992.

Interpretation
    2.    In this Order "the Order" means the Registration (Land and Deeds) (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 and any reference to a numbered Article or Schedule is to the Article of or, as the case may be, the Schedule to, the Order bearing that number.

Appointed day
    3.    The provisions of the Order specified in the Schedule shall come into operation on 1st October 1992.
