The Treasury make these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 215 to 220, 222 to 224, 226 and 259(1) of the Banking Act 2009(1). In accordance with section 215 of that Act, a draft of these Regulations has been laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.
