The Secretary of State, with the consent of the Treasury, makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 56(1) of the Finance Act 1973(1).

Title and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Plant Health (Import Inspection Fees) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and come into force on 7th January 2009.

Amendments to the Plant Health (Import Inspection Fees) (England) Regulations 2006

2.—(1) The Plant Health (Import Inspection Fees) (England) Regulations 2006(2) are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 4(1)(a)(ii) omit “the fee specified”.

(3) For Schedule 2, substitute—
