      CRIMINAL LAW

      The Fraud Act 2006 (Commencement) Order 2006

        Made 29th November 2006 

      The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Fraud Act 2006[1], makes the following Order:

           1. This Order may be cited as the Fraud Act 2006 (Commencement) Order 2006.

          
      2. To the extent that it is not already in force, the Fraud Act 2006 shall come into force on 15th January 2007.

      EXPLANATORY NOTE

      (This note is not part of the Order)


      This Order brings into force on 15th January 2007 sections 1 to 14 of and Schedules 1 to 3 to the Fraud Act 2006. Sections 15 and 16 came into force on Royal Assent on 8th November 2006.
