The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 19(2) and (3) of the Work and Families Act 2006[1]. Citation and interpretation 1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Work and Families Act 2006 (Commencement No.2) Order 2006. (2) In this Order—
Provisions coming into force on 1st October 2006
(b) Schedule 1, paragraph 16(1) in so far as it relates to paragraph 16(3) of Schedule 1; and (c) Schedule 1, paragraph 16(3).
(This note is not part of the Order) This Order brings into force certain provisions of the Work and Families Act 2006 (c.18) (the 2006 Act) and supplements the Work and Families Act (Commencement No. 1) Order 2006. Article 2 lists provisions that will come into force on 1st October 2006. Sections 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 of the 2006 Act came into force on Royal Assent. (This note is not part of the Order) The following provisions of the 2006 Act have been brought into force by commencement order made before the date of this Order:
