The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 109(4)(a) and (5)(b) of the Courts Act 2003[1]. A draft of this instrument was laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 108(2) and (3)(c)(ii) of that Act. Citation, commencement and extent 1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Courts Act 2003 (Consequential Amendment) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 6th April 2006. (2) This Order shall extend to England and Wales and to Scotland. Amendment to the Child Support Act 1991 2. In section 33 of the Child Support Act 1991[2] (liability orders), in subsection (5), for "section 73 of the County Courts Act 1984 (register of judgments and orders)" substitute "section 98 of the Courts Act 2003 (register of judgments and orders etc)". This amendment is consequential to the repeal of section 73 of the County Courts Act 1984 and the commencement of section 98(1)(b) and (c) of the Courts Act 2003.
