The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 8 and 10 of the Armed Forces (Pensions and Compensation) Act 2004[1], makes the following Order: Citation 1. This Order may be cited as the Armed Forces (Pensions and Compensation) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2005. Commencement 2. The following provisions of the Armed Forces (Pensions and Compensation) Act 2004 shall come into force on 11 November 2005: (1) Section 6; (2) Schedule 2. 3. Schedule 3 to the Armed Forces (Pensions and Compensation) Act 2004, in so far as it is not already in force, shall come into force on 1 January 2006. Don Touhig Parliamentary Under Secretary of State Ministry of Defence 7th November 2005 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order is the third and last Commencement Order made under the Armed Forces (Pensions and Compensation) Act 2004 ("the Act"). It brings into force section 6 and Schedule 2 of the Act (on 11 November 2005) and Schedule 3 (to the extent that it has not already been commenced) of the Act (on 1 January 2006). These provisions relate to the Royal Patriotic Fund Corporation ("the Corporation"), and provide for the transfer of the Corporation's property and staff to a charity registered under the Charities Act 1993[2].
