The Railways Act 2005 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2005

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 60(2) of the Railways Act 2005[1], hereby makes the following Order:
Citation 1.
This Order may be cited as the Railways Act 2005 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2005.
Commencement 2.
Section 5 of the Railways Act 2005 shall come into force on 21st August 2005.

This Order brings into force section 5 of the Railways Act 2005 on 21st August 2005.
Section 5 enables the Scottish Ministers to prepare a strategy for carrying out their functions in relation to railways and railway services, and to revise that strategy from time to time.
