The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 82(2), 83(1) and 122(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having consulted with the chief officer of Kent Police, hereby makes the following Order: 1. This Order may be cited as the A21 Trunk Road (Lamberhurst) (Derestriction) Order 200 and shall come into force on 23rd March 2005. 2. The lengths of the new trunk road and trunk road specified in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be restricted roads for the purposes of section 81 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 3. In this Order -
1. The following lengths of the new trunk road near Lamberhurst in the Borough of Tunbridge Wells in the County of Kent -
(ii) northwestwards from the northwestern edge of that roundabout for a distance of 85 metres;
(b) from, and including, the roundabout at the southern end of the Lamberhurst bypass being constructed in pursuance of the trunk road order -
(iv) eastwards from the eastern edge of that roundabout for a distance of 13 metres towards the private means of access to Scotney Castle.
2.
The following lengths of the trunk road near Lamberhurst in the said Borough and County from the roundabout at the southern end of the Lamberhurst bypass being constructed in pursuance of the trunk road order -
(ii) southeastwards from the southeastern edge of the roundabout for a distance of 70 metres.
All distances are measured along the route of these lengths of road. Notes: [1] 1984 c. 27; sections 82(2) and 83(1) were amended by the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (c. 22), section 168 and Schedule 8, paragraphs 59(3) and 60(2) and section 122A was inserted by section 24 of that Act.back
