The Secretary of State for Transport has made this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[1] and now vested in him[2], and of all other enabling powers: 1. This Order may be cited as the A 52 Trunk Road (Dunkirk Roundabout) (Detrunking) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 1st March 2005. 2. In this Order -
(ii) "the trunk road" means the A 52 Trunk Road; and (iii) "the plan" means the plan, numbered HA 10/OD/409, marked "The A 52 Trunk Road (Dunkirk Roundabout) (Detrunking) Order 2004", signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport, and deposited at DFT Records Management Branch, Ashdown House, Sedlescombe Road North, St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, TN37 7GA.

The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a principal road from the date on which the Order comes into force. The length of the trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is situated at the junction of the trunk road with the A6005 principal road at Dunkirk, in the City of Nottingham, being the circulatory lanes of the Dunkirk Roundabout.
