The Secretary of State for Education and Skills, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 148(1) of the Adoption and Children Act 2002[1], after consultation with the National Assembly for Wales[2], hereby makes the following Order - Citation 1. This Order may be cited as the Adoption and Children Act 2002 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2004. Appointed Day 2. 21st May 2004 is the appointed day for the coming into force of section 118 (review of cases of looked after children) of the Adoption and Children Act 2002. Margaret Hodge Minister of State Department for Education and Skills 20th May 2004 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order is the sixth Commencement Order made under the Adoption and Children Act 2002 ("the Act"). Article 2 brings into force on 21st May 2004 section 118 of the Act. That section amends section 26 of the Children Act 1989 (review of cases of looked after children) to provide that regulations may be made to require a local authority to review the care plan of a looked after child. (This note is not part of the Order) The following provisions of the Act have been brought into force by commencement orders made before the date of this Order -
