The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 16A(1) and (2) and 126(3) and (4) of the National Health Service Act 1977[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having complied with the consultation requirements contained in regulations made under section 16A(5) of that Act[2], hereby makes the following Order: Citation, commencement and interpretation 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Woking Area Primary Care Trust (Change of Name) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 1st April 2004. (2) In this Order -
(b) "the trust" means the trust established by the Order.
Change of name of Primary Care trust and transitional provision
(b) be taken as invalidating any instrument (whether made before or on or after the day on which this Order comes into force) which refers to the trust by its previous name,
and all instruments and other documents which refer to the trust under its previous name shall be construed as referring to it under its new name. (This note is not part of the Order) This Order amends the Woking Area Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Order 2002. Article 2 of the Order changes the name of the trust from the Woking Area Primary Care Trust to the Surrey Heath and Woking Primary Care Trust. The new name reflects the area already covered by the trust more accurately than the old name.
