The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(2) of the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971[1] and now vested in them[2], hereby make the following Regulations - Citation and commencement 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions Increase (Pension Schemes for David Calvert-Smith) Regulations 2003, and shall come into force on 1st November 2003. Interpretation 2. In these Regulations -
Pensions to which the 1971 Act will apply (This note is not part of the Regulations.) These Regulations apply the provisions of the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971 to any pensions payable for the Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr David Calvert-Smith, under schemes made under section 1 of the Superannuation Act 1972.
