The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by article 47(1) of the Air Navigation Order 2000[1] hereby makes the following Regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (General) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 10th June 2003. 2. The Air Navigation (General) Regulations 1993[2] shall be amended as follows. 3. In regulation 18(2) for "N2700.00 W02500.00" substitute the following:
(This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations further amend the Air Navigation (General) Regulations 1993. The airspace prescribed pursuant to article 47(1) of the Air Navigation Order 2000 as North Atlantic Minimum Navigation Performance Specification Airspace is amended. With this amendment it covers a greater area. In general terms the Southeast boundary is extended southwards some 600 miles from 27 degrees North to 17 degrees North. Notes: [1] S.I. 2000/1562 as amended by S.I. 2001/397 and 2002/1628. The expression "prescribed" in article 36 is defined in article 129(1) of the Air Navigation Order 2000.
