The Local Government Act 2000 (Commencement No. 3) (Wales) Order 2002

The Secretary of State for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 108(3) and (7) of the Local Government Act 2000[1] hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and application 1.
- (1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 2000 (Commencement No. 3) (Wales) Order 2002.
(2) This Order applies in relation to Wales.
Commencement of section 93 2.
The following provisions -
(a) subsection (2) of section 93 of the Local Government Act 2000, and
(b) subsections (3) to (12) of that section insofar as they relate to local authorities in Wales,
This Order brings into force subsection (2) of section 93 of the Local Government Act 2000 which enables grants to be made to local authorities in Wales for welfare services, and subsections (3) to (12) of that section insofar as they apply to local authorities in Wales.
