The A303 Trunk Road (Folly Bottom Junction) (Detrunking) Order 2002

  Made 9th April 2002 
  Coming into force 22nd April 2002 

The Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[1] and now vested in him[2], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf: - 

     1. This Order may be cited as the A303 Trunk Road (Folly Bottom Junction) (Detrunking) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 22nd April 2002.

    
2. In this Order - 

      (i) "trunk road" means the A303 Trunk Road.

     3. The lengths of Trunk Road described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be trunk roads from the date on which this Order comes into force.

THE SCHEDULE

LENGTHS OF TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE TRUNK ROAD


The lengths of Trunk Road ceasing to be trunk roads are - 

      (i) the existing eastbound on slip road from its junction with Porton Road for 160 metres eastwards; and

      (ii) the existing westbound off slip road for its entire length.

These lengths being shown by broad black dashes on the plan numbered HA10/PS/288 marked 'The A303 Trunk Road (Folly Bottom Junction) (Detrunking) Order 2002', signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions, and deposited at the DTLR Records Management Branch, Ashdown House, 123 Victoria Street, London SW1 6DE
