Whereas a draft of this Order has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 96(5) of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999[1], the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order: Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the Asylum Support (Repeal) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 8th April 2002. Repeal of section 96(3) of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 2. Subsection (3) of section 96 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 (ways in which support may be provided) is hereby repealed.
