In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 138(2) of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001[1], the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order: 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2001. (2) In this Order, "the 2001 Act" means the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001. 2. The following provisions of the 2001 Act shall come into force on 1st December 2001:
(b) sections 30 to 32 (sale of alcohol to persons under eighteen and drunkenness or disorder on licensed premises); (c) section 107(1)(a) and (b), (2) and (3) (payment of allowances to police authority members); (d) section 133; (e) section 137 (repeals) in so far as it relates to the entries in Schedule 7 referred to in paragraphs (f) and (g) below; (f) Part 1 of Schedule 7; and (g) In Schedule 7, Part 4, the entries relating to Schedule 2 and 2A to the Police Act 1996[2] in so far as not already in force.

The following provisions of the 2001 Act shall come into force on 1st January 2002:
(b) section 137 (repeals) in so far as it relates to the entries in Schedule 7 referred to in paragraph (c) below; and (c) in Schedule 7, Part 4, the entries relating to sections 12 and 13 of the Police Act 1996.
(This note is not part of the Order) This Order brings into force the provisions of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 specified in article 2 on 1st December 2001 and the provisions specified in article 3 on 1st January 2002. (This note is not part of the Order) The following provisions of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 have been brought into force by commencement order made before the date of this Order:
