These Regulations amend the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) Regulations 1998 ("the 1998 Regulations").

Regulation 3 inserts references to recent EC Directives in items 2, 3, 6 and 41 in the Table in Schedule 1 to the 1998 Regulations.

In line with the 1998 Regulations, the use of the symbol * denotes that the Directive specified is a Commission Directive, and the use of the symbol denotes that the Directive specified is a Directive of the Council and the European Parliament.

Copies of the EC Directives referred to in these Regulations can be obtained from the Stationery Office.
