The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by sections 7(5) and 60(4) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993[1] and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order: Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the National Lottery (Licence Fees) Order 2001 and shall come into force on the 9th August 2001. Fees for licences under section 5 2. The fee to be paid by the licensee to the National Lottery Commission on the granting of a licence under section 5 of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (licensing of a body to run the National Lottery) shall be -
(b) in any other case, £70,000.
Fees for licences under section 6
(ii) is in substantially the same terms as the licence mentioned in paragraph (i),
£1,000; and
Revocation (This note is not part of the Order) This Order prescribes the sums payable by the licensee to the National Lottery Commission by way of fees on the granting of licences under section 5 or 6 of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993. The Order also revokes the National Lottery (Licence Fees) Order 1994 (S.I. 1994/1200) which prescribed the fees previously payable. Under that Order, the fee payable on the granting of any licence under section 5 was £70,000, and the fee payable on the granting of any licence under section 6 was £20,000. Notes: [1] 1993 c. 39.
