The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 190, 225, 244, 363, 391, 395, 397, 398, 400, 401, 403, 405, 410, 413, 416, 417, 419, 466, 652A and 652D of the Companies Act 1985[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby makes the following Regulations: 1. - (1) These regulations may be cited as the Limited Liability Partnerships (Forms) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 6th April 2001. (2) In these Regulations, references to a section or to a numbered section are to a section of the Companies Act 1985 as applied to limited liability partnerships by regulations 3 and 4 of the Limited Liability Partnerships Regulations 2001[2]. 2. The forms which are listed in the first column of Part I of Schedule 1 to these Regulations, and set out in Part II of that Schedule, with such variations as circumstances require, are forms prescribed for the purposes of the sections set out in the second column of Part I of that Schedule. 3. The particulars or information contained in the forms listed in the first column of Schedule 2 to these Regulations are the particulars or information prescribed for the purposes of the sections of the Companies Act 1985 which are referred to in the second column of that Schedule. (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations set out the forms to be used by limited liability partnerships. Sections 190, 225, 244, 363, 391, 395, 397, 398, 400, 401, 403, 405, 410, 413, 416, 417, 419, 466, 652A and 652D of the Companies Act 1985 concern both the prescription of forms to be used by a company and, in some cases, the prescribed particulars to be set out in the forms. Those sections are applied to limited liability partnerships, with appropriate modifications, by the Limited Liability Partnerships Regulations 2001/1090. These Regulations provide for the forms set out in Part II of Schedule 1 to be the forms prescribed for the purposes of the provisions of the Companies Act 1985 listed in the second column of that Schedule. These Regulations also provide that the particulars or information contained in the forms listed in Schedule 2 are the particulars or information prescribed for the purposes of the Companies Act 1985 referred to in the second column of that Schedule.
