The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 7(1)(a), (b), (c) and (d), 7(2) and 23(f) and (g) of the Animal Health Act 1981[1], and now vested in him[2], makes the following Order - Title, commencement and extent 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (England) Order 2001 and shall come into force at 5.00 p.m. on 28th February 2001. (2) This Order shall apply to England only. Amendments to the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 2. The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978[3] ("the 1978 Order") shall be amended by adding the entries listed in the Schedule to this Order to Schedule 1 to the 1978 Order. This dilution rate equates to one 5g tablet in one litre of water(This note is not part of the Order) This Order, which applies in England only (article 1(2)), amends the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 (S.I. 1978/32), referred to in this Order as "the 1978 Order". This Order (article 2 and the Schedule) amends Schedule 1 to the 1978 Order by adding to that schedule several entries for other approved disinfectants. In relation to England, the functions of "the Ministers" were transferred to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food ("the Minister") by the Transfer of Functions (Agriculture and Food) Order 1999, S.I. 1999/3141 ("the 1999 TFO"). In relation to Scotland, the functions of the Ministers had previously been transferred to the Scottish Ministers by section 53 of the Scotland Act 1988 (1998 c. 46).
