The Education (London Residuary Body) (Property Transfer) (Revocation) Order 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 187(5) and (6), 231(2) and 232(5) of the Education Reform Act 1988[1] the Secretary of State for Education and Employment hereby makes the following Order:

     1. This Order may be cited as the Education (London Residuary Body) (Property Transfer) (Revocation) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 28th February 2001.

    
2. The instruments listed in the Schedule to this Order shall be revoked to the extent shown in the third column of the Schedule.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order revokes article 4(7) of the Education (London Residuary Body) (Property Transfer) Order 1992, as amended by the Education (London Residuary Body) (Property Transfer) (Amendment) Order 2000.

This article imposes a condition that the northern part of the site of the former Wandsworth Boys' Secondary School, Sutherland Grove, SW18 should be brought into use by the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth as a site for a school by 1st September 2003. This condition is now removed.

Various other Orders which have become spent as a result are also revoked.
