The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 42(2) of the Trustee Act 2000[1], makes the following Order: 1. This Order may be cited as the Trustee Act 2000 (Commencement) Order 2001. 2. The whole of the Trustee Act 2000, so far as it is not already in force, shall come into force on 1st February 2001. Irvine of Lairg, C. 9th January 2001 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order brings the Trustee Act 2000 into force on 1st February 2001, with the exception of sections 41, 42 and 43 (power to amend other Acts, commencement, extent and short title), which came into force upon Royal Assent.
