In exercise of the powers conferred by section 216(2) of the Education Reform Act 1988[1], the Secretary of State for Education and Employment hereby makes the following Order: 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Education (Listed Bodies) (England) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 22nd December 2000. (2) This Order extends to England only [2]. 2. The bodies which are specified in the Schedule to this Order comprise all those bodies which appear to the Secretary of State to fall within section 216(3) of the Education Reform Act 1988. 3. The Education (Listed Bodies) Order 1999[3] is hereby revoked. Power to make orders under section 216(2) is devolved to Wales by virtue of the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions Order) 1999 (S.I. 1999/672) and to Scotland by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c.46).
