The Cribbs Causeway - Easton-in-Gordano Special Roads Scheme 1964 (Variation) Scheme 2000

  Made 16th October 2000 
  Coming into force 18th December 2000 

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions makes this Scheme in exercise of powers conferred by sections 16, 17 and 19 of the Highways Act 1980[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf: - 

     1. This Scheme may be cited as the Cribbs Causeway - Easton-in-Gordano Special Roads Scheme 1964 (Variation) Scheme 2000 and shall come into force on 18th December 2000.

    
2. The Cribbs Causeway - Easton-in-Gordano Special Roads Scheme 1964[2] is hereby varied as follows:

    (1) omit paragraph 2(b) of Part II of Schedule 1 to that Scheme;

    (2) for paragraph 2(a) of Part II of Schedule 1 to that Scheme, substitute - 

           " a separate track and footway (together with suitable means of entry from and exit to existing highways) for the use of traffic of Classes VI, VII, IX, X and XI of the Classes of Traffic."

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Scheme)


This Scheme varies the Cribbs Causeway - Easton-in-Gordano Special Roads Scheme 1964 by removing the existing footway over the Avonmouth Bridge and providing for the existing cycle track to become a combined cycle track and footway.
