The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977[1] and section 5(1) of, and paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990[2] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, on the application of the Kent and Sussex Weald National Health Service Trust and the Mid Kent Healthcare National Health Service Trust[3], and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act[4], hereby makes the following Order: Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the Kent and Sussex Weald and the Mid Kent Healthcare National Health Service Trusts (Dissolution) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000. Dissolution of NHS trusts 2. The Kent and Sussex Weald National Health Service Trust established by the Kent and Sussex Weald National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order[5] and the Mid Kent Healthcare National Health Service Trust established by the Mid Kent Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order[6] are hereby dissolved, and accordingly those Orders are revoked. This Order should be read in conjunction with the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 2000[7].
