The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 11 (1) and (2) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order: Citation, commencement and interpretation 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the National Health Service Trusts (Trust funds: Appointment of Trustees) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 4th February 2000. Appointment of trustees The Central Sheffield University Hospitals National Health Service Trust The Community Health Sheffield National Health Service Trust The Guy's and St Thomas' National Health Service Trust The Hammersmith Hospitals National Health Service Trust The King's Healthcare National Health Service Trust The Leeds Teaching Hospitals National Health Service Trust The Northern General Hospital National Health Service Trust The Royal Free Hampstead National Health Service Trust The Sheffield Children's Hospital National Health Service Trust The United Bristol Healthcare National Health Service Trust The University College London Hospitals National Health Service Trust (This note is not part of the Order) This Order provides for the appointment of trustees for the National Health Service trusts specified in the Schedule. Under section 11(1) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 such trustees have power to accept, hold and administer trust property for the purposes of the NHS trust for which they are appointed or for any other purpose relating to the NHS.
