The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 54(6) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995[1], hereby makes the following Order: Citation 1. This Order may be cited as the Disability Discrimination Code of Practice (Trade Organisations) Order 1999. Code of Practice 2. The day appointed for the coming into force of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 Code of Practice on the Duties of Trade Organisations to their Disabled Members and Applicants (ISBN 0-11-271071-9), issued by the Secretary of State under section 53(1) and (2) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 on 16th July 1999, is 1st October 1999.
