Signed........................................ (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations set out the manner in which a manufacturer or supplier of health service medicines is required to consent (or withdraw consent) to a voluntary scheme being treated as applying to it. The voluntary schemes concerned are schemes for the control of profits and prices of manufacturers and suppliers of health service medicines made by the Secretary of State and the industry body. While there is in existence a voluntary scheme which a manufacturer or supplier has consented should apply to it, the Secretary of State is unable to exercise certain other statutory powers of control in relation to that company.
