The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis pursuant to section 7(6) of that Act[2], hereby makes the following Order: 1. This Order may be cited as the A40 Trunk Road (Old Oak Common Lane and Old Oak Road, Ealing and Hammersmith and Fulham) (Prohibition of Traffic Movements) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 21st June 1999. 2. In this Order:

Save as provided in article 4 below, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle
(b) proceeding in the southbound carriageway of Old Oak Road to turn right into the eastbound slip road from Old Oak Common Lane, 17 metres south of its junction with the trunk road.

Nothing in article 3 above shall apply to:
(b) anything done at the direction or with the permission of a constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
