The Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1999

  Made 27th April 1999 
  Laid before Parliament 6th May 1999 
  Coming into force 28th May 1999 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 18 and 24(2) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976[1], hereby makes the following Order:

     1. This Order may be cited as the Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 28th May 1999.

    
2. It is hereby directed that paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) of section 16(3) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976 (conditions on which the provision of amusements is permitted at certain commercial entertainments) shall have effect as if-

     3. The instruments set out in the Schedule to this Order (which are either superseded by this Order or are spent) are hereby revoked.

This Order (which extends to England and Wales and Scotland) increases the monetary limits specified in section 16(3) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976 (c. 32) and revokes previous Orders which are superseded or spent.
