The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 2(10), 105(7) and 108(1) of, and by paragraph 11 of Schedule 1 to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations: Citation, commencement and interpretation 1. - (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health Boards (Membership and Procedure) (No.2) Amendment Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 4th May 1999. (2) In these Regulations "the principal Regulations" means the Health Boards (Membership and Procedure) (No.2) Regulations 1991[2]. Amendment to the principal Regulations 2. In regulation 6 of the principal Regulations (disqualification) sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (1) is omitted. Regulation 6(1)(a) of the principal Regulations, which disqualifies a person from being a member of a Health Board if he is chairman or a director of an NHS trust, is omitted.
