NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE, ENGLAND AND WALES

The Parkside National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1999

  Made 19th March 1999 
  Coming into force 1st April 1999 

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977[1] and section 5(1) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990[2] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after completion of the consultation prescribed under section 5(2) of the latter Act[3], hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
     1. This Order may be cited as the Parkside National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st April 1999.

Amendment of NHS trust Establishment Order
    
2. Article 3(2) of the Parkside National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1991[4] is amended by omitting the words from "to manage" to "associated premises" and inserting the following words in their place:

      " to own and manage St. Charles' Hospital, Exmoor Street, London W10 6DZ, The Royal London Homoeopathic Hospital, Great Ormond Street, London WC1N 3HR and associated establishments and facilities, and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services, and there and from there to provide and manage community health services.".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order amends the Establishment Order ("the Order") which established the Parkside NHS trust to confer on the trust the functions of owning and managing St. Charles' Hospital, Exmoor Street, London W10 6DZ and The Royal London Homoeopathic Hospital, Great Ormond Street, London WC1N 3HR, and there and from there providing and managing hospital accommodation and services and community health services.
