The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis pursuant to section 7(6) of that Act[2], hereby makes the following Order: 1. This Order may be cited as the A4 Trunk Road (Bath Road and Sipson Way, Hillingdon) (Prohibition of Traffic Movements) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 7th February 1999. 2. In this Order:

Save as provided in article 4 below, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle-
(b) proceeding in the nearside lane of the eastbound carriageway between Newport Road and Sipson Way from proceeding in any direction other than northbound at the junction with Sipson Way.

Nothing in article 3 above shall apply to:
(b) anything done at the direction or with the permission of a constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in article 3(b) above shall apply to buses, taxis or bicycles.
