The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the power conferred by paragraph 9 of Schedule 3 to the Finance Act 1997[1], hereby makes the following Order: - 1. This Order may be cited as the Finance Act 1997 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1998. 2. Schedule 3 to the Finance Act 1997 (vehicles exempt from vehicle excise duty) shall come into force on 1st April 1998. The Schedule contains provisions amending the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 in relation to vehicles exempt from vehicle excise duty. (This note is not part of the Order) The following provision of the Act has been brought into force by commencement order made before the date of this Order:
