BROADCASTING

The Broadcasting (Percentage of National Radio Multiplex Revenue) Order 1998

  Made 28th January 1998 
  Laid before Parliament 29th January 1998 
  Coming into force 19th February 1998 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 55(2) of the Broadcasting Act 1996[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation
     1. This Order may be cited as the Broadcasting (Percentage of National Radio Multiplex Revenue) Order 1998.

Percentage
    
2. No percentage of multiplex revenue shall be specified under paragraph (h) of section 46(1) of the Broadcasting Act 1996 in relation to any notice published by the Authority in pursuance of that section while this Order is in force.

Commencement and Duration
    
3. This Order shall come into force on 19th February 1998 and shall cease to have effect on 31st December 2006.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order provides that no percentage of multiplex revenue will be payable by the holder of a multiplex licence granted by the Radio Authority pursuant to any notice published by them during the period for which this Order remains in force.
