"the Allocation Regulations" means the Allocation of Housing Regulations 1996[2]; and

"the Homelessness Regulations" means the Homelessness Regulations 1996[3].

Amendment of regulation 6 of the Allocation Regulations
     2. In regulation 6 of the Allocation Regulations (classes prescribed under section 161(3) of the Housing Act 1996 who are not qualifying persons), in the description of Class F, at the end, add - 

" (iv) a person who left the territory of Montserrat after 1st November 1995 because of the effect on that territory of a volcanic eruption;".

Amendment of regulation 4 of the Homelessness Regulations
     3. In regulation 4 of the Homelessness Regulations (descriptions of persons who are to be treated as persons from abroad ineligible for housing assistance), in paragraph (a), at the end, add - 

" (iv) a person who left the territory of Montserrat after 1st November 1995 because of the effect on that territory of a volcanic eruption;".
