The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred on him by section 6(1)(e) of the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1997[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order: - Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for England (Constitution and Administration) Amendment Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st September 1997. Amendment of the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for England (Constitution and Administration) Order 1993 2. In the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for England (Constitution and Administration) Order 1993[2] in article 12 (functions of the Board) -
(b) paragraph (3) shall be omitted.
Revocation of the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for England (Constitution and Administration) Amendment Order 1994 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order amends the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for England (Constitution and Administration) Order 1993, which makes provision concerning the constitution and administration of the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for England ("the Board"). The Order removes the Board's duty to introduce persons wishing to qualify for registration in the register of nurses, midwives and health visitors to approved training institutions with vacancies on their training courses. It revokes the Regulations under which that duty was introduced.
