Whereas the Cromarty Firth Port Authority have applied for a harbour revision order under section 14 of the Harbours Act 1964[1]; And whereas no objection to the application has been made pursuant to paragraph 3(a) of Schedule 3 to the said Act[2]; And whereas the Secretary of State for Transport is satisfied as mentioned in subsection (2)(b) of the said section 14: Now, therefore, the Secretary of State for Transport (being the appropriate Minister under subsection (7) of the said section 14[3]), in exercise of the powers conferred by that section and now vested in him[4], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order: - Citation and commencement 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Cromarty Firth Port Authority Harbour Revision Order 1997 and shall come into force on 25th August 1997. (2) The Cromarty Firth Port Authority Orders 1973 and 1996[5] and this Order may be cited together as the Cromarty Firth Port Authority Orders 1973 to 1997. Interpretation 2. In this Order -
Company to cease to be harbour authority (This note is not part of the Order) This Order provides that TBAC Limited shall cease to be the harbour authority for the deep water berth and pier known as Saltburn Pier which was previously within the ownership of the Company and which lies within the area of jurisdiction of the Cromarty Firth Port Authority. Consequently, the Order repeals the British Aluminium (Saltburn Pier) Order Confirmation Act 1971 and revokes the British Aluminium (Saltburn Pier) Order 1971.
