The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 80(3) of the Housing Act 1996[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order: Citation and Commencement 1 . This Order may be cited as the Common Lodging Houses (Repeal) Consequential Provisions Order 1997 and shall come into force on 3rd March 1997. Repeals 2 . The following enactments are repealed to the extent specified; (1) sections 80 to 82 of the Poole Corporation Act 1928[2]; (2) section 16(e) of the Greater London Council (General Powers) Act 1981[3]; (3) section 10(2)(m) of the Greater London Council (General Powers) Act 1984[4]; and (4) section 70(1)(j) of the Leicestershire Act 1985[5].
